Why visit Pocklington?

Pocklington is a thriving market town with a history dating back to the Iron Age. Milliner’s Cottage is just off  the main street, where you will find several cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops, all within easy walking distance. Just beyond the main street are two supermarkets (Sainsbury’s and Aldi), and a bus stop on a direct route to York (40 minutes), Beverley (30 minutes) and Hull (50 minutes). There are some attractive walks directly from the cottage, while a short drive up into the Wolds will open up many more walking routes to you. We enjoy walking and will be happy to talk to you about the various routes nearby.
